Kelby Golden

Meet our founder.

Kelby Golden is the founder of Onyx Land Development, bringing a decade of experience in real estate and land development. Known for navigating complex deals and seeing projects through from concept to completion, Kelby has built a career around turning vision into viable land solutions.

Before starting Onyx, he served as a Senior Vice President at PMB Capital, where he specialized in special-purpose districts, zoning strategy, and large-scale land development across North Texas. His earlier background includes time as a commercial real estate lender, giving him a unique financial perspective that informs every project.

Kelby holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Texas Tech University and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University, with dual concentrations in Real Estate and Finance. He lives in Richardson, Texas, with his wife and three children.
